Church Cancels Koran Burning
The pastor of a 50-member strong American church has announced that he is no longer declaring September 11th, 2010, an "International Burn a Koran Day".
Pastor Terry Jones, leader of the Dove World Outreach Center in Gainesville, Florida, has received numerous pleas, including from high-ranking members of the U.S. Administration, to cancel his plans of organizing public burnings of the Koran.

Taliban Executes Young Couple in Afghanistan
Taliban miltants executed an eloping Afghan couple on Monday, April 13th. Governor Ghulam Dastageer Azad of Nimroz province condemned the murders as an "insult to Islam". Even after being unseated from power in 2001, the Taliban continues to implement strict Sharia Law in areas of Afghanistan where the government, local police, and international security forces do not have a strong presence.
